I teach Sivanada yoga, which is suitable for all levels of fitness from complete beginners to the more advanced and classes are adapted accordingly. I also offer gong baths in my studio and in larger premises throughout the year. In addition I am able to offer one to one yoga sessions tailored to your specific needs. These include:
• Therapeutic treatments for spine and back
• Rehabilitation following illness or injury
• Easing stress and depression
My yoga style is suitable for all ages and abilities. I can offer a quiet, intimate, cosy setting for total relaxation and concentration on achieving the benefits of yoga practise for the entire body and mind. You will benefit from a very rewarding whole body, mind and spirit workout.
Yoga will help to calm your mind, relax your body and stretch your muscles, improving flexibility and increasing bone density. It is also a very personal practice. You don’t have to ‘be good’ at yoga. It is a connection with you and your body and you work to your own level, whatever that may be on any given day.
I have my own Yoga studio at home which allows me to focus on smaller groups, and also offer private tuition in a relaxed, friendly environment, with underfloor heating, tranquil yoga music and mood lighting. Mats, bolsters, blocks, belts and lavender eye pillows are all provided. You just need to wear some loose, comfortable clothes and bring socks and a warm top for relaxation.
It is all about the breath, it isn't about achieving the perfect posture - it is as much about the journey.
